Adventure, mystery and heroes have always fascinated and thrilled Pauline Rowson... That and her love of the sea has led her to create a completely new sub genre of crime fiction - the marine mystery.

Pauline Rowson is the author of the contemporary crime novels featuring the flawed and rugged DI Andy Horton whose patch is Portsmouth CID.  Her crime novels have been hailed as the 'Best of British Crime Fiction,' 'exemplary procedurals,' 'an entertaining read in an engaging series,' both in the UK and USA. She is also the author of two fast-paced, thrillers one of which is the award winning In Cold Daylight which was voted by the public as one of the top ten best reads for World Book Day.

Her Marine Mysteries, Tide of Death, Deadly Waters, The Suffocating Sea , Dead Man's Wharf  Blood on the Sand , Footsteps on the Shore, and A Killing Coast, plus her thrillers In Cold Daylight, and In for the Kill are based around the Solent, but her books have an international readership and have been translated into several languages.

  • In Cold Daylight was shortlisted for the World Book Day Prize and voted the third most popular novel in an on line poll by readers.

  • Pauline Rowson was longlisted for the prestigious Dagger in the Library Award 2008.

  • Tide of Death was selected by Amazon as the 'Best Crime Fiction Novel 2006'  in the year it was published.

  • The Suffocating Sea was chosen by The Book Depository as one of ten 'Best of British Crime Fiction.'

  • Dead Man's Wharf was given a star rated review by Kirkus and hailed as an 'Exemplary procedural.'

  • Footsteps on the Shore was given a star rated review by Booklist in the USA where it was compared to the works of best selling crime authors Ed McBain and Joseph Wambaugh, Peter Robinson and John Harvey.

Pauline Rowson was a renowned marketing and training guru, with a collection of 'how to' business books and a successful marketing, media and training company behind her before she made it into the world of best selling crime fiction.  Her journey is no ordinary one and that's what makes her a unique, inspirational and motivational speaker!
