Latest DI Horton crime novel by Pauline Rowson published in July

Death Lies Beneath the eighth in the popular crime series featuring the Portsmouth based detective DI Horton is to be published in the UK this month by Severn House. This follows A Killing Coast which was published in the UK in January 2012 and in the USA in May 2012.

Set in the Solent area the DI Horton series has received critical acclaim both in the UK and the USA where Rowson has been compared to Ed McBain and Joseph Wambaugh and their British counterparts, including the work of Peter Robinson and John Harvey.  Translation rights to the series have recently been sold to China where the Horton novels will be published in 2012 and 2013.

American Reviewer Booklist says, "Andy Horton is an especially good series hero, a likeable fellow with plenty of street smarts and the requisite personal baggage – an abrasive supervisor and an antagonistic soon-to-be ex-wife. Procedural fans who haven’t already read Rowson should be encouraged to do so in the strongest possible terms."

Pauline Rowson is also the author of two stand alone thrillers one of which, In Cold Daylight was voted  the third most popular novel in an on line poll for World Book Day.All her crime and thriller novels are available in hardcover, paperback, as e books on Kindle and Nook and some are available in Large Print and as Audio Books.
