Pauline Rowson author appearances soar with popularity of DI Horton crime novels

Next year is shaping up to be a busy year for appearances for crime author Pauline Rowson with over twelve speaking engagements already booked for the first half of 2013 as the popularity of her DI Horton crime novels soar.

Death Lies Beneath - Di Horton - Pauline RowsonSet against the backdrop of the Solent on the South Coast of England two new DI Horton novels were published by Severn House in 2012 bringing the total in the series to eight. A Killing Coast was published in January, which was followed by Death Lies Beneath. The series which has been translated into several languages will be published in China in 2013. It has already drawn the interest of television and film companies.

The DI Horton series has received critical acclaim both in the UK and the USA where it is also published and where Pauline Rowson’s work has been compared to Ed McBain and Joseph Wambaugh and their British counterparts Peter Robinson and John Harvey.  American Reviewer Booklist says, "Andy Horton is an especially good series hero, a likeable fellow with plenty of street smarts and the requisite personal baggage – an abrasive supervisor and an antagonistic soon-to-be ex-wife. Procedural fans who haven’t already read Rowson should be encouraged to do so in the strongest possible terms."

In For The Kill - a thriller - Pauline RowsonPauline Rowson is also the author of two stand alone thrillers, In for the Kill, and In Cold Daylight which was voted the third most popular novel in an on line poll for World Book Day. All her crime and thriller novels are available in hardcover, paperback, as e books on Kindle and Nook and some are available in Large Print and as Audio Books.

Pauline Rowson talking to a packed audiencePauline Rowson will be giving talks to U3As, Women’s Institutes and Libraries around the UK. She will also be appearing at CrimeFest in Bristol and at the London Book Fair. A full programme will be published on this website soon.
