China buy rights to another in the DI Horton mystery series by Pauline Rowson

China have bought the translation rights to another in the DI Andy Horton marine mystery crime series.

Death Lies Beneath - DI Horton MysteryJust days ahead of the London Book Fair 2012, translation rights were sold to China for six crime novels in the popular Solent based marine mystery crime series, featuring the flawed and rugged DI Andy Horton, by British author Pauline Rowson. Now China have bought the latest in the DI Horton series, Death Lies Beneath.

Nanhai Publishing Company of Haikou bought translation rights to six novels in the DI Horton series which are published in the UK and USA by Severn House.


Deadly Waters - DI Horton - Published in ChinaDeadly Waters, the second in the Horton series is set to be published this month in China.  Tide of Death, the first in the Horton series, is already published in China along with Rowson's thriller In Cold Daylight.

The deal was done through Chengdu Rightol Media & Advertisement Co Ltd. of Chengdu, China.

Pauline Rowson is the author of ten crime and thriller novels which have been hailed in the USA and UK as ‘exemplary police procedurals,’ and have received glowing reviews from America. The novels have already been translated into several languages.

Two novels in the DI Horton series, A Killing Coast, and Death Lies Beneath were published in the UK and the USA this year and the ninth DI Horton, Undercurrent is to be published by Severn House in January 2013.

The DI Horton series is set in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight against the backdrop of the Solent.
