Fatal Catch, new DI Andy Horton, to be published in the UK in September


Fatal Catch, a DI Andy Horton Mystery by Pauline RowsonFatal Catch the twelfth in the popular DI Andy Horton crime series by Pauline Rowson is to be published on 28 September 2015 in the UK in hardcover by Severn House Publishers.  It will be published in the USA on the 1 January 2016 when it will also be released as an ebook.

The DI Andy Horton crime novels are set against the atmospheric backdrop of the sea in the Solent area of Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight on the South Coast of England where Pauline Rowson lives.

The flawed and rugged sailing detective lives on board his small yacht in Southsea Marina since his estrangement from his wife, following a gross misconduct charge, he is a man rarely at peace, unless he is on the sea. When fighting crime he is prepared to take risks and is fearless in his search for justice. He's been raised in children's homes after his mother abandoned him as a child.

In Fatal Catch , Horton is called out to examine a gruesome find by two fishermen: a human hand. Is it that of missing violent criminal Alfie Wright – or is he the killer? And where is the rest of the corpse? Soon Horton finds himself immersed in a complex case where everyone has a reason to lie and no one is who they seem. Assailed by doubts both in his personal and professional life,Horton desperately tries to keep his emotional feelings under control and his focus on his work. His instincts tell him to trust no one and believe nothing; he’s not sure though whether this time he’ll succeed …
