Pauline Rowson talks to Julian Clegg on BBC Radio Solent

It was a nice end to the year to once again be talking to Julian Clegg on his very popular and entertaining Breakfast Show on BBC Radio Solent. I was able to tell his listeners about my new crime novel featuring former Royal Marine Commando, Special Boat Services Officer Art Marvik, who is introduced in an explosive new marine crime novel, Silent Running, to be published in March 2015 by Severn House.

And for all those DI Andy Horton fans I was also able to say that DI Horton will be back in a new crime mystery in September 2015, called Fatal Catch.  Meanwhile the latest in the DI Andy Horton series, Shroud of Evil is available in hardcover and as an ebook.

Unveiling the cover of the NEW Art Marvik Marine Thriller

Well here it is - the book cover of my new crime novel, the first in the explosive new marine crime series featuring Art Marvik, Silent Running, which will be published by Severn House in March 2015. It looks exciting to me. What do you think?

Silent Running introduces former Royal Marine Commando, Special Boat Services Officer, Art Marvik.  Adrift after leaving the marines, Marvik unexpectedly finds himself being used as bait to catch a ruthless killer whose slaying spree spans the decades. In a race against time, Marvik is sucked into a dangerous assignment and a web of deceit that will need all his skills, and those of his friend, former Marine Special Forces Communicator, Shaun Strathen, to get to the truth. Their mission, to stop a ruthless killer before he kills again.

It's December - it's The Suffocating Sea - and DI Andy Horton is on the case

The Suffocating Sea  opens on December 17 with the discovery of a body on a burning boat in Horsea Marine, Portsmouth, England and DI Andy Horton, assisted by DS  Barney Cantelli, has another case to solve only this time it uncovers something about his past and opens up the mystery surrounding his mother's disappearance when he was ten years old.

The Suffocating Sea was selected by the Book Depository as "'The Best of British Crime Fiction." It was also hailed by Booklist in the USA as "A gripping, suspense-filled murder case...an entertaining read in an engaging series..."

More photographs from Murder at the Pelican Club performed by Act One Drama

Act One Drama in Kent did a great job in putting on my play, Murder at the Pelican Club, to packed audiences over three days on 30/31 October and November 1st and I was delighted to join them for the last night on Saturday.  The play is written in the vein of Agatha Christie's Poirot but with a dash of humour and music.

Murder at the Pelican Club is a departure for me as  writing crime novels are more my thing but I loved writing it and creating grumpy, middle-aged, gruff Inspector Doyle, the complete opposite to the rugged and flawed DI Andy Horton, and the action characters in my other crime novels including my new hero Art Marvik, who will appear in Silent Running in March 2015.
