CSI Portsmouth 2013 in Pictures - slide show

I've put together a slide show of CSI Portsmouth 2013.  This appears on my You Tube Channel along with several other videos of interviews and talks I've given.  If you like what you see of CSI Portsmouth then why not join me, some of my fellow crime authors, police and experts for CSI Portsmouth 2014 on Saturday 8 November. Details to follow in the coming months.

About CSI Portsmouth

CSI PortsmouthCSI Portsmouth was first launched in 2010 from an idea I had about bringing crime fiction and fact together under one roof. I organise the annual event with the help of Portsmouth City Council Library Service and the Hayling Island Bookshop. Part of Portsmouth BookFest, CSI Portsmouth is fast becoming a major fixture in the crime fiction festival calendar.

Crime authors who have appeared at CSI Portsmouth include: Mark Billingham,Simon Brett, Stephen Booth, Sharon Bolton, Ann Cleeves, Graham Hurley, John Harvey, Matt Hilton, June Hampson, Natasha Cooper Michael Ridpath, Peter Lovesey, Pauline Rowson and Kerry Wilkinson.

Crime experts have included members from Hampshire police major crime team, fire investigation officers, scene of crime officers, the hi-tech unit, fingerprint bureau, marine police, drugs squad, as well as a forensic toxicologist and a forensic psychologist and experts from the Universities of Portsmouth and Surrey on fraud and stalking.

With grateful thanks to the supporters of CSI Portsmouth 2013

The National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard, one of Britain’s oldest maritime museums, for the use of its superb venue and for assisting me with my research for the DI AndyHorton novel, Undercurrent, which is set in and around the Museum and around thePortsmouth Historic Dockyard.

Also thanks to this year's sponsor, publisher, Bello, an imprint of Pan Macmillan, that brings lost classics back to life, including many crime classics.
