On location with Art Marvik on his mission in Silent Running

Silent Running, an Art Marvik Mystery, by Pauline RowsonSilent Running is the first in the crime series featuring Art Marvik, a former Royal Marine Commando, Special Boat Services Officer, turned undercover investigator for the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad (NIMS).

Silent Running is set on the South Coast of England and Marvik's mission to find a ruthless killer takes him from his remote Isle of Wight cottage across to Southampton and east along the coast to Chichester Marina, Itchenor and Littlehampton and west to Weymouth.

You can read more about Silent Running and view the location photographs here.  But I thought I would add some pictures taken of Town Quay Southampton which also features in the novel.  Click on the images to enlarge them.

The Red Jet at Town Quay, SouthamptonAdrift after leaving the marines and smarting from his first failed civilian mission Marvik seeks refuge in a remote cottage on the Isle of Wight. When a former girlfriend shows up with a disturbing story about the murder of a young woman fifteen years ago and her growing belief that the man convicted of it is innocent, Marvik doesn't think much of it.  Then Charlotte goes missing after leaving his home and everything changes.
