What's on in March 2017
Crime NovelsMarch sees the publication of the brand new Andy Horton police procedural, Lethal Waves, the thirteenth in the series to feature my flawed and rugged detective.
Andy has a new gripping and complex crime to solve. A smartly dressed, affluent woman is found dead in her cabin on the ferry from Portsmouth to Guernsey. A vagrant’s body has been found lying partially covered under one of the rotting houseboats close to where Horton lives on his boat in the marina in Portsmouth. Horton must call upon all his skills and intuition to solve a complex case, uncovering dark secrets that have led to such lethal waves of destruction.
March also sees the publication of Dangerous Cargo in large print. Dangerous Cargo is the second in the series featuring former Royal Marine Commando, Art Marvik, now attached undercover to the National Intelligence Marine Squad (NIMS).
Dangerous Cargo is also availabe in hardcover and as an ebook on Amazon Kindle and Kobo.
Talks and radio interview
Saturday 4 March 2017
I will be teaming up with Graham Hurley in a event called "Portsmouth Coppers" where Graham and I will be cross examined by former criminal barrister and crime author Diana Bretherick about why we set our crime novels in Portsmouth and what is it about the waterfront city that holds such fascination for us and our fictional detectives. It is being held at Portsmouth City Library and is part of the annual Portsmouth BookFest.
Tuesday 7 March
I will once again be on BBC Radio Solent talking to Julian Clegg on his very popular breakfast show about the launch of Lethal Waves and crime writing. Tune in if you can to BBC Radio Solent at 96.1FM, 103.8FM and Digital, or catch the interview after the show on BBC iplayer. I also hope to have a transmission of it here on the website.
8 March 2017 - Lyndhurst U3A, Hampshire 2.30pm
On the 8 March I will be guest speaker entertaining members of Lyndhurst U3A with tales of murder, mystery and mayhem.
In March I will continue to write the fourth in the Marvik marine mystery series, before returning to Andy Horton, no. 14.
