What's on in September 2017

Pauline Rowson, crime authorThis September is quiet for radio interviews and talks which means I can concentrate on writing. By the end of September I will have completed the fourth in the Art Marvik mystery series and the fourteenth in the Inspector Andy Horton crime series. I don't yet know when they will be published but hopefully 2018 will see a new Art Marvik mystery and a new Inspector Andy Horton crime novel on the bookshelves and for sale on line.

So this month I thought I would share some memories with you (as they say on Facebook) and take a quick look back to see what was happening a year ago in September 2016 and two years ago in September 2015. I could go further but don't want to bore you! But if you're really interested just click on the links on the calendar to the right of this blog.

A look back to what was on in September 2016 - new Art Marvik mystery, competition, talks and a radio interview

Dangerous Cargo, an Art Marvik marine mysterySeptember 2016 saw the publication in ebook format worldwide of the second in the Art Marvik marine mystery series, Dangerous Cargo. It was also published in hardcover in the USA on 1 September. Dangerous Cargo was published in the UK in May 2016.

To mark the ebook publication my publisher, Severn House ran a competition. All entrants had to to do was answer a simple question and submit their entry and we had literally thousands of entries. The closing date was 30 September 2016.

Crime author Pauline Rowson talking to Julian Clegg BBC Radio SolentAlso in September 2016 I was on BBC Radio Solent talking to Julian Clegg on his very popular breakfast show.I'm delighted to say that Julian is a great fan of the Art Marvik mysteries which, like my DI Andy Horton series, are set against the backdrop of the sea on the south coast of England. But whereas Horton is a police officer, Art Marvik is an undercover investigator for the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad.

A look back to what was on in September 2015 - a new DI Andy Horton, radio interview and talk

Fatal Catch, DI Andy Horton Mystery by Pauline Rowson September 2015 saw the publication in the UK in hardcover of the DI Andy Horton crime novel Fatal Catch published by Severn House on 28 September.

Fatal Catch was published in the USA on 1 January 2016. It is the twelfth in the DI Andy Horton crime series and the rugged and flawed Portsmouth detective is hot on the trail of a killer in another case while there is also a new twist to his personal investigations into his mother's disappearance thirty years ago.
