Act One Drama Group to perform Pauline Rowson's Play, Murder at the Pelican Club

A brand new play in the vein of Agatha Christie but with a twist of humour and music written by crime author Pauline Rowson is to be performed over three days by Act One Drama Group in Kent.

Murder at the Pelican Club is a departure for crime writer Pauline Rowson, author of the popular crime novels featuring the flawed and rugged DI Andy Horton, and the award wining thriller, In Cold Daylight. The play is set in war torn Britain in the 1940s Liverpool during the Blitz and features gruff Inspector Doyle and takes place in a night club and restaurant.

Pauline Rowson entertains the audience with tales of crime

A packed audience at Emsworth Womens Institute sat enthralled by the mechanics of writing a crime novel and the exploits of the flawed and rugged Portsmouth based copper DI Andy Horton as author Pauline Rowson entertained them on Friday 12 September.

Tickets go on sale for CSI Portsmouth from 29 September for a stellar line up of crime authors who join police and crime experts in an entertaining and informative one day event, that is now one of the most popular events in the crime fiction calendar.

Best selling crime authors MC Beaton, Hilary Bonner, Jessie Keane and Pauline Rowson join officers from Hampshire Police and forensic experts from the Insitute of Criminal Justice Studies, University of Portsmouth on Saturday 8 November 2014.
