Pauline Rowson in the spotlight on Writer's Bookshelf

Farnborough Library's  'Writer’s Bookshelf' feature for May and June has been compiled by internationally acclaimed author, Pauline Rowson. Pauline’s crime novels are set against the backdrop of the ever changing sea of the Solent, on the South Coast of England and they have been hailed in both the UK and the USA as: "The Best of British Crime Fiction”, "Action-packed”, "Gripping’’ and "Fast-paced’’.

Here she talks about some of her favourite books…

‘The brief was to choose five books and say why they deserve space on my bookshelves. Sounds simple but it’s far from that. How to choose just five? Impossible. So I’ve cheated, just a little, and bundled some of them up into authors. And here is just a tiny fragment of my favourites’.

Two more talks booked for crime author Pauline Rowson

Popular crime author Pauline Rowson has been booked for two more talks in 2015 and 2016. She talks about her crime novels and the inspiration behind the creation of her flawed and rugged detective, DI Andy Horton, who features in eleven crime novels, and her new troubled hero, former marine commando Art Marvik who is introduced in Silent Running, published by Severn House in March 2015.

The two most recent talks booked for Pauline Rowson are to Subbington U3A in October 2015 and Odiham U3A in May 2016.  Pauline Rowson is very much in demand as a speaker at libraries, literary and crime fiction festivals and conventions, U3As and retirement clubs across the UK.  All her events, appearances and radio interviews are featured on the Events Page.

Rowson's new crime novel hailed in USA as a tense, terrifying thrill ride

The first in Pauline Rowson's new crime series, Silent Running, featuring former marine commando Art Marvik, published by Severn House, has been hailed by Booklist USA, as a 'tense, terrifying thrill ride that twists and turns with dizzying speed.' It is available in the UK in hardcover and will be published in the USA on 1 July when it will also be released as an e book and available on all devices including Kindle.
