Pauline Rowson on mini book tour of South Wales Libraries in October

Pauline will be giving talks about the inspiration behind the DI Horton series, set in the Solent area on the South Coast of England at Abertridwr Library,Caerphilly; Pontarddulais Library, Swansea; Pyle Life Centre, Bridgend and Neath Library. She'll be discussing how she plots her crime novels and develops her characters including the rugged and flawed DI Andy Horton.

The highly acclaimed DI Andy Horton series has received glowing reviews both in the UK and the USA where Rowson's novels have been hailed as 'multilayered, twisted and complex,' and likened to the novels of Peter Robinson, John Harvey, Ed McBain and Colin Dexter.
Although she lives on the South Coast of England, Pauline Rowson's father was from South Wales where her grandfather and great grandfather were coal miners.
Pauline Rowson has been hailed as "redefining the genre of police drama” by setting it against the atmospheric backdrop of the ever changing sea. Her cops are tough yet fallible and the series contains a catalogue of compelling crimes, a detective with a complex past history, a tough work environment, romantic entanglements and political intrigue played out against the dramatic and powerfully evocative British marine landscape of Portsmouth and the Solent.
