Society of Authors Magazine Features Article by Pauline Rowson

The Society of Authors was established over a century ago to serve the interests of professional writers. It has more than 9,000 Members and Associates writing in all areas of the profession. The Author is published quarterly and includes articles from some of the top writers around the UK and overseas.
CSI Portsmouth was first launched in 2010 and is the brainchild of Pauline Rowson, author of the DI Andy Horton series of crime novels, who organises the event with Portsmouth City Council Library Service and the Hayling Island Bookshop.

Crime experts have included members from Hampshire police major crime team, fire investigation officers, scene of crime officers, the hi-tech unit, fingerprint bureau, as well as experts from the Universities of Portsmouth and Surrey on fraud, stalking, forensic psychology.
CSI Portsmouth is part of Portsmouth BookFest a festival of popular literature organised by Portsmouth City Council and runs from October 19 to 3 November. Its aim is to promote reading for pleasure and enthusiasm for literature in the city of Portsmouth.

It is being held on Saturday 2 November at National Museum of the Royal Navy, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Tickets cost £15 for the day, which includes a free paperback book by one of the participating authors from the mobile bookshop provided by the Hayling Island Bookshop on the day, and are available from the Box Office on 023 9268 8037 Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm or The Hayling Island Bookshop on 023 9246 6620 Monday to Saturday 9am - 5pm
