Crime author Pauline Rowson wows the audience at Gosport with her crime novels

Gosport U3A Pauline Rowson showing how she creates her crime novelsMembers of Gosport U3A (University of the Third Age) got the taste for murder when crime author Pauline Rowson entertained them on Thursday 27 April with tales of her crime busting heroes, the rugged and flawed detective, DI Andy Horton, and her the tough but fallible, Art Marvik, former Royal Marine Commando, now working as an undercover investigator for the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad,(NIMS) who feature in her popular crime novels.

Lethal Waves a DI Andy Horton crime novel by Pauline RowsonThe enigmatic sailing detective  DI Andy Horton. features in thirteen crime novels with Lethal Waves the latest in the Portsmouth based police procedural series published by Severn House in the UK on the 28 February 2017 and in the USA on the 1 June 2017.

Pauline also talked about how she created her characters including her new protagonist, Art Marvik who is featured in two crime novels Silent Running and Dangerous Cargo, with the third, Lost Voyage, to be published in July 2017.

The University of the Third Age (U3A) has a network of U3As across the country, which provide life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities for retired and semi-retired people who come together to learn, not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery. Her crime novels have been hailed in the USA and the UK as, 'Exemplary, 'Compelling,' 'Cleverly plotted,' and the 'Best in British Crime Fiction.' 

Her talk was followed by a lively Question and Answer session and a book signing.  Pauline Rowson says, 'The audience were great. I  thoroughly enjoyed talking to them.'
