Pauline Rowson wows Wordwrights with words of writing wisdom

Pauline Rowson talking about crime writing to Wordwrights Writing GroupContinuing with my look back at my talks given over the years, in the absence of any at present because of the awful Covid-19 crisis, I was delighted to be asked to talk to a writing group in 2017 and share my words of writing wisdom  to the Wordwrights Writing Group at  Titchfield Community Centre in Hampshire on Thursday 20 July.

I expect they have really missed getting together since lock down in March 2020 but hopefully can resume their meetings soon. Wordwrights is a friendly creative writing group with members ranging from beginners through to published writers working in all genres including short stories, articles, poetry, play writing and novels. The group usually meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 1.30 p.m to 3.30 p.m in the Community Centre, Titchfield.

Pauline Rowson explaining a point on crime writingI now have twenty-one published crime novels under my belt, something I never thought possible way back in the 80s and 90s when I was writing and struggling to get published.

My mystery crime novels and thrillers have been hailed as "redefining the genre of the police drama” by setting them against the atmospheric backdrop of the ever changing sea."  They have been  translated into several languages and described as multi layered, compelling entertaining and full of twists and turns.

Many are also available as audio books.  Published in the UK and the USA they can be bought on line and from all good bookshops. They are also available for loan in UK and USA libraries.

Wordwrights Creative Writing Group, says,  "Thank you so much for joining us.  I've had nothing but praise from the members. You have inspired them."

"I found your talk both exciting and inspiring. It was also extremely practical when you showed us the various sheets you use while planning and writing."

You are welcome and good luck with all your writing projects!
