DEATH IN THE HARBOUR published in paperback, e book, kindle and audiobook

Death in the Harbour an Inspector Ryga mystery by Pauline RowsonDEATH IN THE HARBOUR, by Pauline Rowson, the second in the 1950s set mystery series featuring Inspector Ryga, is published in paperback, as an e book, on Amazon Kindle and as an audio book.

The atmospheric mystery series set in 1950s England features Scotland Yard detective, Inspector Alun Ryga who teams up with former war photographer Eva Paisley.

Scotland  Yard's Inspector Alun Ryga is sent to Newhaven, East Sussex to unravel the mystery of why an ordinary police constable was murdered and his wife has gone missing

"Pure detection… a great read.”

Pauline Rowson says, 'Scotland Yard were frequently called in to investigate murder cases around the  UK in the 1950s so rather than have the novel (and series) rooted in London this meant I  could move my detective around the country to help solve coastal crimes.  I wanted to feature the sea in my crime novels, my trademark as all my novels are set against the backdrop of the sea,  so I created a character with an intimate knowledge of the sea, a former  merchant seaman, Inspector Alun Ryga.

From the first I didn't want to make Ryga an action hero like Art Marvik.  I also sought to differ him from DI AndyHorton, an instinctive copper with lots of personal baggage, intuitive, rugged  and flawed with a deep sense of justice.  Neither did I want someone who had  been hailed as a war hero in the traditional sense, but instead a quiet, unsung  hero. I chose, therefore, to make Ryga a former German prisoner-of-war.'

In his first mystery DEATH IN THE COVE, Ryga is sent to the Island of Portland, Dorset to investigate the murder of a man found in the isolated Church Ope Cove. DEATH IN THE COVE is also available as an audio book and in paperback, as an ebook and on Amazon Kindle.

Pauline Rowson is the author of twenty-one crime novels, which includes the popular marine set mysteries featuring the flawed and rugged detective, DI Andy Horton (15) and the Marvik mystery thrillers (3).

Death in the Harbour audio book by Pauline RowsonDEATH IN THE HARBOUR is also  available as an audio book  narrated by Jonathan Rhodes and produced by B7 Media.

It will be available on Audible at the end of November 2020.
