A lovely way to round off my talks 2013

Questions covered included: how do I choose names for my characters? How do I come up with a title for my crime novels? What inspired me to become a writer and more.
After this and over the splendid and sumptuous tea I signed plenty of books for the avid group of readers.
Sandhurst Library proved just how valuable libraries are in our communities. It, like many other libraries around the UK, (which are sadly under threat because of government cutbacks) has a wide range of users of all ages, vibrant children's groups, many reading groups, creative and social clubs and free access to a wonderful wealth of reading and research material.
Libraries are the gateway to the future for many people including myself. I owe a debt of gratitude to a small local library in Portsmouth which opened up for me an amazing world of books rich with information which in turn fuelled my imagination and created in me a desire to become an author. My thanks to them and to all library staff and volunteers for their work in libraries. And my thanks to Helen Snow and the volunteers and audience at Sandhurst Library for making my final talk of 2013 such a memorable one.
