In the company of some great crime authors

Who else writes like It's never easy choosing a new crime novel to read by an author you haven't heard of before but there is a useful little book often in the libraries that you can access, or ask the librarian for, it's called 'Who else writes like...'

In this little gem of a book it says 'If you like Colin Dexter, Ann Cleeves, Robert Barnard, Graham Hurley, Dorothy Simpson and Neil White then you might like Pauline Rowson, author of the Inspector Andy Horton crime novels and those featuring former Royal Marine Commando, Art Marvik, now an undercover investigator for the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad.'

Reviewers have also compared the Inspector Andy Horton crime novels to those written by American writers, Ed McBain and Joseph Wambaugh and their British counterparts John Harvey and Peter Robinson.

Who writes like Pauline RowsonYou'll find my name right under J. K Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, (as if you didn't know) who also goes under the name of crime author Robert Galbraith. What a good place to appear!

Blood on the Sand, Footsteps on the Shore, A Killing Coast There is also a very good website called Fantastic Fiction where it is suggested that if you like Peter James and Stephen Booth, among other crime authors, you might like the Inspector Andy Horton crime novels.

Art Marvik Mysteries by Pauline RowsonOne reader has compared the Art Marvik mystery novels with those written by Jeffery Deaver.

In addition my standalone thrillers, In Cold Daylight and In For The Kill have been likened to those of Robert Goddard.

So happy reading and browsing.
