What's on in June 2019

June 2019 sees me undertake a library talk, location research, revisions, walking, writing and thinking time.

Pauline Rowson on location research Isle of WightAt the moment in the Horton novel I am writing (no. 15)  Andy is on the Isle of Wight which is where I will be for a few days in June not only for some rest and relaxation but also for some walking, thinking and research. Andy is about to discover the truth behind his mother's disappearance over thirty years ago and of course there is a murder to solve as well as the long ago puzzle of Jennifer Horton's disappearance. This might very well be the final DI Andy Horton, on the other hand, maybe not....

Meanwhile there are plenty of DI Andy Horton mysteries to read including number 14 in the series, DEAD PASSAGE.

Dead Passage an Inspector Andy Horton crime novel Available in paperback, as an ebook, on Amazon Kindle and Kobo

A mysterious telephone call sends Horton on a complex and twisted investigation into the death of a local politician twelve years ago and uncovers a trail of lies, secrets and revenge with roots deep in the past.

"This book has all the juicy ingredients that make a good story: an historic death of a politician, a daughter who urgently wants to speak to the inspector, as she has ‘something to reveal’ about her father’s death, and also a few interesting characters that keep you guessing about who’s telling the truth…and who has something to hide." Inspector Alun Ryga 1950 set crime novel available for pre-order

Death in the Cove an Inspector Alun Ryga mystery by Pauline RowsonAlso in June I'll be progressing the forthcoming publication of the first in my new historical crime series set in 1950 introducing Scotland Yard detective, Inspector Alun Ryga, who is sent to the Island of Portland, Dorset to investigate the body of a man wearing a pinstriped suit found on a deserted cove.

Not that there is a lot more to do on the novel now because it is written, copy-edited and proof read.  The paperback is available for pre-order now and the e book version on Kindle and on Kobo will be available for pre-order from 26 June.

Publication date 26 September 2019.

The audio book version of DEATH IN THE COVE is to be recorded in July by B7 Media, producers of the audio book, and I'm looking forward to discovering who the narrator is to be. The audio book can also be pre-ordered from B7 Media.

Ten of the DI Andy Horton crime novels are available as audio books, narrated by Gordon Griffin MBE and two in the Art Marvik mystery thriller series, narrated by Peter Noble.

Here's hoping for some sunshine and warmth in June on the south coast of England where I live and which is the setting for many of my crime novels.
