A lively audience for murder and mayhem at Locks Heath, Hampshire

Pauline Rowson at Locksheath talking about her crime novelsContinuing my theme of looking back on my talks each month here I am at one of my talks in the dim and distant past of 26 July 2013 - a long time before Covid -19 reared its ugly head in 2020.

Over seventy people packed into a hot and stuffy church hall at Locks Heath in Hampshire to hear me talk about how I construct and write my crime novels.

They were a lovely audience who listened attentively and then asked some questions about my crime novels.

Pauline Roson book signingWriting is a solitary business so it's always good to get out and meet readers and get feedback.  I  give many talks to audiences from tens to hundreds.

I was also delighted to sign copies of my DI Andy Horton novels and my other crime mystery thrillers.

Death in the Cove by Pauline RowsonSince this talk took place I  also have a new hero on the block, Scotland Yard's Inspector Ryga who is sent out to solve coastal crimes.  His first is on the Isle of Portland, Dorset when the body of a man in a pin-striped suit is found dead on Church Ope Cove - DEATH IN THE COVE. In addition to the above there are three mystery thrillers in the Art Marvik series, the former Royal Marine Commando now an undercover investigator for the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad.

Art Marvik Mystery Thrillers by Pauline Rowson"Fans of Rowson’s DI Andy Horton books will be delighted with her new series featuring former marine commando Art Marvik.A tense, terrifying thrill ride that twists and turns with dizzying speed, combined with a likable, smart, tough, but all too human hero, make this a cracking-good new series—action fans need Marvik on their radar." My crime novels have been highly acclaimed and translated into several languages.  Multi layered and complex, they contain compelling crimes, diverse characters and are full of twists and turns all played out against the dramatic and powerfully evocative British marine landscape of the south coast of England.
