What's in store for 2022

Well what's in store for 2022?  With the events of the last two years regarding Covid it's impossible to predict and foolish of anyone to do so. It's a good enough reason for me to slip back into the past with Inspector Ryga in 1951 as my Scotland Yard detective solves another baffling coastal crime.

The gripping Inspector Ryga Mysteries by Pauline RowsonThere are currently three in the Inspector Ryga mystery series with number four DEATH IN THE DUNES to be published this year so something to celebrate and look forward to in 2022. I'm not sure exactly when publication will be so watch this space, but it is possible it will be June in time for summer reading. I'm currently working on ideas, characters and plot outlines for number five in the series.

Inspector Ryga mystery (4) is set on the atmospheric coast of Dungeness in Kent. More of that to come.  I'm toying up with where to set number 5 and am almost certain that it will be in Penwith, Cornwall, around the coast from Penzance to St Just.  But there's time yet to change my mind!

Art Marvik Mystery Thrillers by Pauline RowsonAfter that?  Will I start writing Inspector Ryga number five? Or perhaps start a brand new series (I have ideas) or write a standalone mystery thriller.  Is there another adventure for former Royal Marine Commando, Art Marvik, now an undercover agent for the UK Police National Intelligence Marine Squad, who currently features in four mystery thrillers? Perhaps, but I get ahead of myself, as usual!

Forthcoming Events

With Covid restrictions easing (hopefully) there will be more opportunities for me to give talks to organisations and in libraries.  I currently have two in the diary  and look forward to more and to meeting readers.

I will be talking to members of Warsash U3 and Hayling Island U3A about how I write my crime novels- plotting, ideas and research and my fictional sleuths onthe following dates in 2022.

Friday 11 March 2022 Warsash U3A

Thursday 18 August 2022 Hayling Island U3A

And what of my lovely DI Andy Horton? Ah, well, exciting news on that score to come. Watch  'BREAKING NEWS' as they say.

Meanwhile it's time to knuckle down, press on and take whatever comes our way in 2022 with hopefully a smile and hearty resolution.

Wishing you a very happy, healthy and peaceful 2022
