What's on in August 2022

August sees the publication of the next book in the DI Andy Horton Solent Murder Mysteries, book 12, which will be published on Kindle and in paperback by Joffe Books. I'm looking forward to seeing the cover and the new title, as I'm sure many of my readers will be.  This book was originally published as Fatal Catch and is set in Portsmouth and the surrounding harbours, DI Andy Horton's patch. It will be published on 14 August.

The Boathouse Murders by Pauline RowsonMeanwhile DI Andy Horton 11 is now published THE BOATHOUSE MURDERS.  This was originally published as Shroud of Evil.

When private investigator Jasper Kenton's naked body is discovered on a stretch of private beach on the Isle of Wight, wrapped in sailcloth, Horton becomes embroiled in an investigation that has major personal ramifications.

As he struggles to crack the case, he knows it’s only a matter of time before someone discovers he’s kept silent. And if that’s revealed, it will end his career.

Also in August I'll be entertaining members of Hayling Island U3A, so I will be on home ground.  Just hoping it's not too hot on that day.  I love talking to groups, and U3A members, like others, always have so many interesting questions to ask me. I'll also be signing copies of my crime novels.

August will, of course, be filled with writing.  I'll start working on the second draft of Inspector Ryga mystery number five, which is set in Cornwall.  I'm also working up ideas for a new Art Marvik mystery thriller, number five in the series, and a new DI Andy Horton Solent Murder Mystery, number seventeen.  Plenty to keep me occupied!
