Meet Art Marvik in these gripping thrillers

It's a packed year and a dangerous and deadly one for undercover agent Art Marvik. He’s earned the scars on his face as a commando in the Marines, now he’s working undercover for the UK Police National Intelligence Marine Squad.

February

Art Marvik mystery thriller Deadly WavesDEADLY WAVES (1) introduces Art Marvik, undercover agent working for the UK Police Marine Intelligence Squad, in the first of this mystery thriller series.

In DEADLY WAVES, Marvik has been invalided out of the Royal Marines, after a very active and dangerous career as a Special Boat Services Officer. He's at a loss of what to do next in his life, misssng the adrenalin of danger and the cameraderie of his fellow marines.

He's tucked himself away in  a remote cottage on the Isle of Wight uncertain of the future when former marine colleague, Special Services Communications Officer, Shaun Strathen, renews Marvik’s acquaintance and asks for his help to locate a missing research scientist.

Strathen has also been injured in combat and invalided out of the marines. He’s set himself up as a specialist security consultant and, with a prosthetic leg, seems to have adjusted to life better than Marvik.

Failing to locate the missing research scientist, Marvik returns on his motor cruiser to his cottage to find he has a visitor, a former girlfriend and a navy nurse, Charlotte Churley, who insists she’s being followed. She also tells him that a dying serviceman has told her his father had been wrongly convicted of murder some years ago. Marvik is ready to dismiss this as a symptom of overwork until Charlotte goes missing. Then Marvik finds himself being used as bait to catch a killer before he can kill again.

Charlotte's news sets Marvik off on a journey to clear an innocent man of murder. Along with this Marvik has a missing ex girlfriend and computer scientist to find. Are these linked?   I'll leave you to find out.

Art Marvik Mystery thriller, Dangerous Cargo In DANGEROUS CARGO (2) Marvik is plunged into another assignment and an equally if not more dangerous one than his first for the National Inteligence Marine Squad. Marvik is despatched to the seaside town of Swanage in Dorset after the body of a man, Bradley Pulford is found washed up on a beach on the Isle of Wight. But according to police records, Pulford died in Singapore fifty-five years ago. So who is the dead man? And why did he steal Pulford’s identity?

Marvik is sent to the last place Pulford is known to have been. He worked in Swanage in the early 1990s for a Dorset fishing family, the Killbecks. He fathered a son with their niece and then disappeared.

The Killbecks claim they know little about Pulford. Marvik suspects they have something to hide. And it’s up to him to find out what.

Then an innocent woman is killed.  Now Marvik must go full-throttle against a gang of villains as ruthless as they are deadly if he has any hopes of catching a killer.

Art Marvik Mystery thriller Lost VoyageHow do you find a ghost ship once the trail has gone cold? And how do you locate it if it has been lost in the frozen seas of the Arctic?

in LOST VOYAGE (3) Art Marvik receives a panicked phone call from Helen Shannon, who he'd met on his first mission for the UK Police National Intelligence Marine Squad in February (DEADLY WAVES #1). She overheard two men plotting a murder and now fears she’s being followed.

Marvik thinks Helen’s suffering from PTSD after her sister’s murder. But he has a soft spot for her and he agrees to help.

Then Helen’s boss’s body is discovered in her flat with his throat slashed.

Marvik is convinced that Helen is being framed for murder. But why?  Because she really did overheard that conversation? Who are those men? Before he can prove her innocence, he’s detailed by his boss, Detective Superintendent Crowder to investigate the disappearance of a salvage vessel that went missing years ago. The Mary Jo never reached her destination.  Now someone claims to have found her over a decade later.

It is a claim that leads to a trail of deaths because the secret of the Mary Jo must never be revealed. Marvik, working undercover, is tasked to discover what that deadly secret is and in so doing locate and stop a ruthless assassin.

Marvik’s got a lot on his plate. The stakes are high and the death toll is rising. Who will be next?

Art Marvik mystery thriller Fatal DepthsIt's May and  things are about to get personal for Art Marvik in FATAL DEPTHS. In a previous investigation (DANGEROUS CARGO #2) he had been investigating the death of a woman on the Dorset coast when he discovered in her possessions a ripped-out notebook with his late father's handwriting on it. A mysterious disk was taped inside the back cover. Marvik hasn't time to investigate what this means. He's busy on dangerous missions working undercover for the UK Police National Intelligence Marine Squad. So he puts it away in his London bank for safekeeping.

When he's completed his third mission (LOST VOYAGE #3)  he decides it's time to get his colleague and former Royal Marine Commando, Special Intelligence Officer, Shaun Strathen to open the disk, only the disk has gone from his safe deposit box along with the notebook.

Marvik has reason to believe the package contains information about his parents, who were killed in an underwater explosion during a Ministry of Defence mission near the Nordic coast. Marvik is certain the theft and murdered woman have something to do with his parents. But what?

Then a bomb is planted in his home.

Someone is out to kill. And Marvik’s clearly in their sights.
