Bradley Pulford’s body is found washed up on a beach on the Isle of Wight. But according to police records, Pulford died in Singapore fifty-five years ago. So who is the dead man? And why did he steal Pulford’s identity?

Marvik is sent to the last place Pulford is known to have been. He worked in Swanage in the early 1990s for a Dorset fishing family, the Killbecks. He fathered a son with their niece and then disappeared.

The Killbecks claim they know little about Pulford. Marvik suspects they have something to hide. And it’s up to him to find out what.

Then an innocent woman is killed.

Now Marvik must go full-throttle against a gang of villains as ruthless as they are deadly if he has any hopes of catching a killer.
