
I'm delighted to announce that Joffe Books are to publish a brand new DI Andy Horton Solent Murder Mystery, number twenty in the series, and a brand new Inspector Ryga, 1951 set mystery, DEATH ON THE PIER, number six in the series.
The publication dates are yet to be set but are likely to be in the summer and autumn of 2026. This will take the number of crime novels written by Pauline Rowson to thirty-three.
The Solent Murder Mystery series features Harley Davidson riding, sailing detective, Andy Horton, who lives on board his small yacht in Southea Marina, Portsmouth, England. The crime novels are set in Portsmouth, the ajoining harbours of Langstone and Chichester and the Isle of Wight.
The Detective Inspector Alun Ryga mystery series are set in late 1950 and 1951, England, with the first DEATH IN THE COVE being on the Royal Island of Portland, Dorset; the second, DEATH IN THE HARBOUR set in Newhaven, East Sussex; number three, DEATH IN THE HARBOUR in the fishing port of Brixham, Devon; the fourth, DEATH IN THE DUNES at Dungeness, Kent and number five, DEATH ON BOARD in Cornwall.
The new Inspector Ryga mystery, number six, DEATH ON THE PIER is set in Southend-on-Sea, Essex in July 1951.
